GarTech Enterprises, Inc. was founded in 1990 by Don Hounshell. GarTech started as a moonlighting venture, in his garage, to supplement his full time job. The business consisted of wiring harnesses & test equipment during the early years, with the majority of the business coming from Cummins, Inc.
This evolved into a full time business in the late 90s with 4 full time employees and reaching sales of over $400k. Don left his full-time job in June 1999 to concentrate on this entrepreneurial endeavor. Don hired additional engineers, technicians and operators as the engineering side of the business began growing rapidly.
GarTech Enterprises, Inc. relocated to a new larger facility in May 2004. The business currently employs over 25 full time people with sales exceeding $4 million annually.
The company has a world-wide customer base in industries such as automotive, construction and mining. GarTech has a broad knowledge base with extensive expertise in diesel engine related electronic hardware & software.
GarTech Enterprises, Inc. has consistently made an effort to hire and retain the best employees available. We feel that our biggest asset is our employees and promoting from within is a definite factor in our success. We encourage our employees to pursue higher education and to be involved in the local community.
